Brothers Donovan play regularly at breweries, clubs, bars, and festivals throughout the Northeast. Anchored by brothers Frank and Ken Donovan on guitar and bass, the band is rounded out with Chris Andrews on drums, Kevin McGinn on guitar, and Gary Greenberg on keys. On the heels of the release of their debut studio album, “Awakenings,” Brothers Donovan will play two nights in New Orleans during the second weekend of Jazz Fest, and will be joining forces with New Orleans’ own Billy Iuso and Restless Natives for a string of shows in southern New England in June. The band offers up an appetizing mix of originals featuring reggae, funk, and groove, and incorporates a variety of covers ranging from the Meters and Dead, to Delbert McClinton and Phish in their live shows. Check out their first single, “On Top of the Mountain,” on December 2011’s RELIX compilation disc or log on to relix.com to stream it now.
